Description

This data set provides information about the utilization of forest ES and additional factors influence an individual’s relational values (RVs) towards two forests in northern Jordan; Ajloun and Yarmouk Forest Protected Area (FPA). A total of 200 members from local communities were interviewed, equally distributed between the two forests. Among various ES, cultural, and to some extent provisioning ES was the most important. Recreation and collection of wild plants were the most mentioned ES used in both FPAs. Information is collected about the socio-economic factors like gender, age, income, and period of residency near the reserve, besides the set of statements of respondents’ RVs towards the FPAs.
