Description

The study Investigated the correlation between fungal diversity and the spread of Epidendrum hybrids in different geographic locations. I hypothesized that Epidendrum hybrids maintain a core group of conserved fungal taxa that demonstrates overlaps among different geographic regions. However, I also anticipated that each region would host its unique fungal community. In the supplementary tables TS1 and TS3, you will find the single-end forward reads processed through QIIME2 software version 2023.7 for the local and global dataset respectively. These reads underwent denoising, removal of chimera, and filtration of Amplicon Sequencing Variants (ASV) using the DADA2 plugin. Subsequently, supplementary tables TS2 (local dataset) and TS4 (global dataset) present the Operational Taxonomic Units (OTUs) obtained post the application of the 'vsearch' plugin. The taxonomic assignment of these OTUs was executed using the qiime feature classifier plugin, referencing the UNITE fungal database version 9.0 for Qiime2.
