Description

These data are both raw data and analyzed data (as appropriately labelled) obtained during the research titled 'Anti-convulsant Effect of Tapinanthus dodoneifolius (DC.) Danser: Involvement of Potassium Channel and GABA Pathway". The data were analyzed using different statistical analysis methods in the SPSS software, version 25. Data represents different seizure parameters including; Onset of seizure, duration of seizure, mortality, and quantal protections. The onset of seizure is the time from the point of administration of a convulsant agent to the time when seizure activity (such as automatism, clonic spasm, twtiching, tonic-clonic spasm etc) commences. The duration of seizure represents the time from seizure onset, to when seizure activities elapses. These two parameters were measured with the aid of a digital stop watch. Quantal protection refers the protection against seizure, it means the animal did not experience any noticeable seizure behavior. While mortality is simply as the name implies, death following administration of a convulsant agent during the periods of observation.
