This dataset contains raw and analysed data used to evaluate soil fertility regulation under agroecological gradients, land-use systems, and contamination stress in tropical agroecosystems. The dataset includes soil physicochemical properties, nutrient availability, and heavy metal concentrations (Pb, Cd, and As). It also contains statistical analysis outputs generated using R, supporting the evaluation of interactions among agroecological zones, land-use systems, soil fertility status, and contamination stress. The deposited files include raw observations, analysed datasets, R outputs, and supporting information describing the measured variables and experimental design.

Steps to reproduce

Soil samples were collected from selected agroecological zones and land-use systems in southwestern Nigeria using a structured field sampling design. The samples were processed and analysed for soil physicochemical properties, nutrient availability, and heavy metal concentrations (Pb, Cd, and As) using standard soil analytical procedures. Soil properties were determined using established laboratory methods, while heavy metal concentrations were assessed after acid digestion and instrumental analysis. The generated datasets were compiled, organized, and analysed using R statistical software to perform statistical evaluations of agroecological, land-use, and contamination effects.
