This data is from an artefactual field experiment carried out in South Africa. Participants are young adults (18-24 years of age). Subjects completed a Dictator Game task in giving and taking frames making a separate choice for each of eight social distances (1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100). It is in stata format and all variables are labelled. The datasets uploaded are in long and wide formats. Three important outcomes are exponential discounting rate, hyperbolic social discounting rate and q-exponential discounting rate.
