An efficiently microtasked CRAY Y-MP C90 version of the Kuba-Moriarty SU (3) gauge theory simulation program

Abstract In 1985 an efficient multitasking version of the SU (3) lattice gauge theory algorithm for the CRAY X-MP was published by Kuba and Moriarty [Comput. Phys. Commun. 36 (1985) 351]. Here we present an upgraded microtasking version, which reflects the development of the CRAY multiprocessor systems over the last 8 years and achieves 8.3 GFLOPS on 16 processors of the CRAY Y-MP C90.
