Description

Data sets of isotopes of different water bodies (Precipitation, surface water, groundwater, urban landscape water ) in the Shiyang River Basin from 2015 to 2019. From the source of Binggou River (a tributary of Shiyang River) to the middle reaches of Wuwei City, 276 samples (M1-M10) were collected from 10 sampling points between the upstream and midstream, 209 samples (G1-G17) of different groundwater samples were collected from 17 sampling points in the whole basin; In addition, 542 precipitation samples (P1-P10) were collected from 10 sampling points in the whole basin.

Steps to reproduce

Surface water and the groundwater samples are packaged in high-density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles, and precipitation samples are collected by setting up standard rain cones of meteorological stations at sampling points. In order to prevent the evaporation and leakage of samples during transportation and storage, all bottle openings of samples are sealed with plastic tape and then frozen. In order to prevent the evaporation and leakage of samples during transportation and storage, all bottles were sealed with plastic tape and then frozen. All the collected water samples were analyzed by liquid water isotope analyzer (dlt-100, Los Gatos research, USA) in the Stable Isotope Laboratory of Northwest Normal University. Each water sample and isotope standard sample were injected 6 times continuously, to eliminate the memory effect of isotope analysis, the first two injection values were discarded and the average values of the last four times were used as the final determination results. In order to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results, a parallel sample was collected for each sample, and the average value of the two determination results was taken as the final value.
