The data illustrates the effect of Japanese quails fed different dietary Maca powder levels on the growth indices egg external quality, serum biochemical constituents, hormone concentrations, ileum histomorphology, and bone biomechanical properties of the birds. According to the results obtained, the addition of 1 g/kg maca powder to the diet in quails was effective in improving the eggshell, ileum histomorphology, and bone traits, which worsened with aging, without affecting performance, and the supplementation of 2 g/kg maca powder to the diet was effective in reducing the serum cholesterol concentration.
