Description

This is the data underlying the empirical analysis in Scheifele, Fabian and Bräuning, Moritz and Probst, Benedict, The Impact of Local Content Requirements on the Development of Export Competitiveness in Solar and Wind Technologies published in Renewable & Sustainable Energy Reviews. The data shared comprises the dataset used for the synthetic control analysis (synth_data_1995_2017_final, Figures 2 and 3) and the list of the HS product codes used to link the products with the different renewable energy technologies as well as other technologies that were displayed in comparison in Figure 4. The six-digit trade dataset (HS 92) which is the basis for "synth_data_1995_2017" and also for the product complexity analysis (Figures 4 and 5) can be downloaded from the Observatory of Economic Complexity HS6 REV. 1992 (1995 - 2020): https://oec.world/en/resources/bulk-download The four-digit trade dataset (HS92) used for the product space visualisations (Figures 6, 8 and 9) can be downloaded from the Harvard Growth Lab: The Growth Lab at Harvard University, 2019, "International Trade Data (HS, 92)", https://doi.org/10.7910/DVN/T4CHWJ [Titel anhand dieser DOI in Citavi-Projekt übernehmen] , Harvard Dataverse, V4, UNF:6:fBTbvO79jN4d+3lfNSzRtw== [fileUNF]
