Description

This database contained the relevant documents of the co-citation analysis (using CiteSpace) of literature on DAMO in natural environments. They include (1) the entire files for the CiteSpace project in "CiteSpace.zip" that allows repeating the CiteSpace analysis and (2) a complete list of the reference information from the co-citation analysis, including their cluster memberships, burstiness, citing frequency, degree, centrality, and sigma values. We obtained 354 citing articles from the Web of Science using keywords including “anaerobic oxidation of methane”, “anaerobic methane oxidation”, “nitrate-dependent anaerobic methane oxidation”, “nitrite-dependent anaerobic methane oxidation”, “denitrifying anaerobic methane oxidation”, “n-damo”, “damo”, “M. oxyfera”, “M. nitroreducens”, “NC10”, “ANME-2d”. The search results were refined using keywords “river”, “lake”, “reservoir”, “estuary”, “sea”, “marine”, “sediment”, “soil”, and “wetland”. The co-citation analysis by CiteSpace 6.1 R3 with Pathfinder network scaling resulted in a co-citation network of 835 nodes. We used the results to (1) understand the underlying structure and the evolving patterns of the research in DAMO in natural environments by clustering the references, (2) identify key references of important clusters with citation bursts, and (3) predict the emerging hot topics by investigating the keyword burst history.
