Description

Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) data recorded on Pb0.97La0.02Zr0.52Ti0.48O3 (PLZT) sintered at 1150 °C, 1200 °C, 1250 °C and 1300 °C (for duration 20, 45, 90, 135 and 180 min at each temperature) is presented here. The EDS was carried out with the aim to confirm the composition and quantitative analysis of Pb-loss during sintering. A systematically increasing Pb-loss with increasing temperature and duration can be observed from these data. The rate of Pb-loss is high at higher sintering temperatures and for longer sintering durations. Files: 20 JPEG and 1 MS Word. JPEG files are the spectroscopic images. The corresponding eZAF Smart Quant results (20 tables) are placed in the MS word file. Instrument: The EDS spectra were recorded with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) using FEI Inspect F (USA). Preparation: The PLZT samples were prepared by a modified sol-gel synthesis followed by atmospheric sintering. The details of the preparation will be published.
