Description

Radiographs of repacked soil cores used to validate a new method for the measurement of soil core volume based on image analysis and Pappus 2nd centroid theorem. The radiographs are grouped in three datasets corresponding to three folders: 1) Accuracy test dataset with images of a reference impregnated soil block used to perform an accuracy test of the method. 2) Precision test dataset with images of repacked oven-dried cores of four different soils. 3) Shrinkage test dataset with images of further four soil cores used to perform a shrinkage test with 19 soil moisture ratios. Radiographs are provided as both, grey level and thresholded images. The latters are both entire and halved, because the Pappus theorem requires halved images to be used.
