Wasting and associated factors among children aged 6–59 months in Baka Dawula Ari Woreda

Description

A community-based cross-sectional study was conducted from January to March 2022 in Baka Dawula Ari woreda. A multistage sampling technique was used to select 421 children. The data on socio-demographic, economic, sanitation practice and feeding practice were collected via structured interviewer administered questionnaire and anthropometric data were collected by weighing and measuring height/length. The data were entered and analyzed by SPSS 26 (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 26). Descriptive analysis results were presented with tables and graphs while logistic regression analyses were presented with crude odds ratio (COR) and adjusted odds ratio (AOR) with their 95% confidence intervals (CI). A p-value less than 0.05 set as cut-off for significance of AOR.
