Scale development, Content Validity and Reliability of Neonatal Cardio-Pulmonary Outcome Measure (N-COM) of neonates admitted in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs)
Description
The Neonatal Cardio-Pulmonary Outcome Measure (N-COM) will be the first scale which will help to assess the neonates with various respiratory and cardiac abnormalities. The Neonatal period is the most unsafe period as the newborn undergoes various environmental changes moving from intrauterine to extrauterine life. The neonates admitted in NICUs suffers from various respiratory conditions such as - Respiratory distress syndrome, Persistent pulmonary hypertension of newborn, Bronchopulmonary dysplasia, Childhood interstitial lung disease, Meconium aspiration syndrome, Pleural disorders and Transient tachypnea of newborn whereas most frequent cardiac conditions in neonates are- Patent ductus arteriosus, tetralogy of fallot, Aortic stenosis, Arterial septal defect and coarctation of aorta.
