Description

This work reports the first discovery of pure γ-phase metallic iron preserved at ambient temperature in Chang'e-6 impact glasses from the South Pole-Aitken (SPA) Basin. Using electron holography, we directly image its ferromagnetic vortex domain state and show that γ-Fe can record shock remanent magnetization. This is the original TEM and EELS data for "Magnetic vortex state of natural lunar γ-Fe".
