Description

RNA-seq analysis was carried out using transgenic lines OX37. Fourteen-day-old rice seedlings were treated with or without 20% solutions of PEG6000 for 6h. Total RNA was isolated with Trizol reagent (Invitrogen, USA) from seedlings of transgenic and 93-11 plants grown under normal or PEG conditions. Material from 10 plants of each genotype was pooled for RNA extraction. The concentration and quality of each RNA sample were determined using a NanoDrop 2000TM micro-volume spectrophotometer (Thermo Scientific, Waltham, MA, USA) and gel electrophoresis. The rice RNA samples were sent to BGI (The Beijing Genomics Institute at Shenzhen, China) for sequencing.
