Screening for novel adhesin proteins of Leptospira interrogans

Description

Intra-family specific antigenic determinants of outer membrane proteins were screened using KEGG genome database and NCBI and then scrutinized based on VaxiJen and virulence scores. The selected novel targets (Conserved hypothetical proteins) were studied for their interaction with host extracellular matrix components by molecular docking studies. Novel pathogen specific molecules were screened for B cell linear epitopes and specific target peptide (KNSMP01) was synthesized and immunized in rabbit to get the hyperimmune sera. It has been evaluated for its antigenic potential and compatibility in human cells by in vitro.
