Johnathon FonesDescription
Vibrational data from a Lathe's facing process using broken, new, and worn tools. Data was collected using an S3-D16 ENDAQ with a ±16g accelerometer range that was attached to the tools mount of a lathe. Each test was conducted with a 2.5" piece of 6061-T6 Aluminum round stock at 610 rpm removing approximately 0.005" of material each pass. The dataset consists of a total of 110 samples (50 for the new tool, 30 for the worn tool, and 30 for the broken tool) along with three excel sheets that tells the time that the bit makes contact with the material.
