Data on Mobility Pattern of Male and Female in Delhi

The data is part of research study exploring following research questions- (i) What are the household factors that affect the mobility of women as compared to men? (ii) What are the transport-related factors contributing to women being transport disadvantaged in urban areas? The primary data for this study was gathered through an online (public transportation users) and offline survey at a number of bus stops and metro stations in Delhi, India. The survey was conducted from December 2020 to March 2021, and a sample of 634 public transport users was collected, including both men and women, capturing their socio-economic status and travel patterns along with their perceptions about the public transport service provision in the city on a five-scale Likert scale ranging from "strongly disagree" to "strongly agree." The survey includes passenger information, focusing on their socio-economic characteristics. Travel behavior focuses on their private and public transport usage patterns and perceptions about the service they are using. Rating of the built environment (road condition, public transport, parking, footpaths, and non-motorized transport services) while accessing the public transport service they are using. The Excel file includes Code sheet for decoding the users responses.
