Records of phycotoxins in seafood along the Italian coast from 2006 to 2019

Description

Mollusk samples (mainly Mytilus galloprovincialis and occasionally Aequipecten opercularis, Bolinus brandaris, Crassostrea gigas, Murex spp., Venerupis decussata, Nassarius spp., octopus, Ruditapes decussatus, Ruditapes philippinarum, sea urchin, Solen marginatus and Wedge clam) were collected from 2006 to 2019 from aquaculture farms located along the coasts of Liguria, Tuscany, Lazio, Sardinia, Sicily, Apulia, Marche, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia regions with a fortnightly frequency for most regions. Unfortunately, data from Campania, Calabria, Basilicata, Abruzzo and Molise were not available for our analysis, therefore only literature data were used to integrate this survey along the Italian coast.
