Two-photon excited fluorescence scanning laser ophthalmoscopy images and software for data processing
Description
The repository contains an exemplary dataset recorded during two-photon fluorescence ophthalmoscope imaging of a healthy subject's eye. We additionally provide software for data processing. The software was written by Dr. Sławomir Tomczewski with inputs from Dr. Michał Dąbrowski. This data repository is a reference for work published in J. Clin. Invest. 2022;132(2):e154218. https://doi.org/10.1172/JCI154218. The dataset contains raw images recorded in the fluorescence channel and corresponding reflectance frames (located in subfolders). Those images are located in 4 folders (FESH, 1-4), containing a total of 139 pairs of images. The repository also contains the background noise recorded in each channel (with the excitation laser turned off, located in the 'Background noise' folder) and data needed for background subtraction (located in the folder 'For background subtraction'). These data can be used to remove parasitic reflections, e.g., from lenses. Additionally, we present the results obtained after correcting for eye motion artifacts and averaging both fluorescence and reflectance frames.
