Description

The source of data for the study is the Numbeo quality of life statistics (2021): Numbeo. 2021. Quality of life index, by country: 2012-2021 (mid-year). URL: https://www.numbeo.com/quality-of-life/rankings_by_country.jsp?title=2021-mid File 1 contains statistics of Numbeo (2021) for 2012-2021. (mid-year): - Purchasing power index (x1) 4 - Cost of living index (x2); - property price to income ratio (x3); - Safety index (y1); - Health care index (y2); - Traffic commute time index (y3); - Pollution index (y4); - Climate index (y5). The growth of indicators is also estimated: 2019/2018, 2020/2019, 2021/2020. In file 2, the competitiveness of indicators is determined, the arithmetic mean, standard deviation in 2021 is calculated and forecasts of changes in indicators (based on arithmetic means and standard deviations) are made, histograms of their normal distribution are constructed. In file 3, the dependence of each of the indicators y on the set of indicators x was determined by the method of regression analysis.

Steps to reproduce

In file 1, the increment of each indicator is defined as the ratio of its value in a given year to its value in the previous year, and for indicators whose values are less, the better according to the formula: (100-v) / 100 * 100%, where v is the value indicator in a given year. In file 2, the competitiveness of indicators is defined as their relation to the arithmetic mean in 2021. Forecasts are made using the "Generate random numbers" function, and histograms are built using the "Histogram" function of the Analysis Package. In file 3, the regression analysis is applied using the "Regression" function of the Analysis Package.
