Description

Measurement data on off-gas measurement (micro gas chromatograph), cell density (photometer) and product concentrations (HPLC) to determine the influence of pH and H2 partial pressure on syngas fermentation with biomass retention and Clostridium ljungdahlii. For each experimental interval, a calibration measurement was performed on the micro gas chromatograph (indicated by an "R" appended to the file name). The correlation of the timestamp to the process time can be taken from the LiquidSamples.xlsx file. The unit of measurement data of the gas chromatograph is volume percent. Assuming that nitrogen is not consumed by the bacteria, the exhaust gas volume flow and subsequently the individual gas uptake rates can be determined with the aid of the measured exhaust gas composition, see Eqs. 1-3 in Oswald F, Dörsam S, Veith N, Zwick M,Neumann A, Ochsenreither K and Syldatk C(2016), Sequential Mixed Cultures: From Syngas to Malic Acid.
