Description

This data has been collected by Dr. Mondal and colleagues for the paper entitled, "Recent Demographic Trends and Clinical Insights in Pediatric Vascular Rings and Slings: A Retrospective Case Series Analysis". This study protocol was approved by the Hamilton Institutional Research Ethics Board (HiREB). Patient consent was waived due to the study's retrospective nature.

Steps to reproduce

Data were gathered from a review of the electronic medical records, used in Hamilton Health Sciences (HHS). Various platforms were utilized to gather the data included within this study including Meditech, Patientlink and Epic. Both quantitative and qualitative data were collected from these medical record systems. Quantitative data including the number of patients with cardiac abnormalities was collected from patient medical charts and qualitative data such as observations written by clinicians. All collected data was then compiled into each corresponding variable in Microsoft Excel.
