Methodology for Acquiring and Cleaning COVID-19 Recovery Patient Data in the Kurdish Region of Iraq 1. Data Collection Process: Collaboration was initiated with a COVID-19 expert doctor, who offered access to a dataset including the information of about 4,000 COVID recovery patients. 2.Collaborative Design with COVID Doctors Held discussions with two COVID-19 expert doctors to collaborate on creating a detailed diagram highlighting the primary features of interest. Divided the characteristics into six unique categories before carefully selecting and finalizing 46 relevant features for inclusion in the dataset. 3.Patient interviews: I conducted phone interviews with COVID-19 recovery patients, reaching out to 4,000 people. Responses were collected systematically for each of the 46 selected features, ensuring that the data was complete and accurate. 4. Data Cleaning Steps: We obtained a total of 3,103 rows of data from the patient interviews. To assure the dataset's integrity and trustworthiness, we performed stringent data cleaning methods. Addressed and resolved duplicate entries to ensure unique patient identities. Implemented procedures to handle and delete missing values, assuring dataset completeness. 5.Ethical considerations: Ensured ethical standards throughout the data gathering procedure, including gaining informed consent from participants. Patient confidentiality was maintained, and ethical principles were followed, with the required clearances obtained from relevant ethical review boards. 6.Documentation of Methods I documented the entire data gathering process, from consultation with clinicians to collaborative design, patient interviews, and data cleaning stages. Detailed the methodology employed for each stage, allowing for prospective replication of the research. 7.Software and tools: Used appropriate software for data analysis and cleansing, ensuring transparency throughout the data processing phases. Any specific techniques or statistical methods used to clean the data were documented.
