Description

Single-line and single-shot scanning experiemnts on the surface of unidirectionally and bidirectionally laminated carbon fiber reinforced composites (CFRP) were conducted with CW laser and PW laser, respectively. The present dataset contains the laser processing parameters and corresponding HAZ sizes used for the building and validation of HAZ extension models. Steps to reproduce

According to the dataset, the dimensionless numbers π0, π1, and π2 of CW laser and π0, π1, π2, and π3 of PW laser scanning process can be calculated and fitted to establish a linear relationship model between π0 and πHAZ. The data used for model validation are substituted into the models to verify the accuracy and prediction effect of HAZ.
