Description

The raw data comes from websites of the US Department of transportation. So the data can be accessed from their websites. We use several datasets from the U.S. Department of Transport. The first is the Airline On-Time Performance dataset per month for 2016:https://www.transtats.bts.gov/Tables.asp?DB_ID=120&DB_Name=Airline%20On-Time%20Performance%20Data&DB_Short_Name=On-Time Our second datasource is the Schedule B-43 Inventory dataset on airplane characteristics. Finally, we used two financial datasets, schedule P-1(a) and schedule B-1. https://www.transtats.bts.gov/dataindex.asp?index=S&listorder=TABLES accessed 28 July 2017 The included do file for STATA 14 was used for the calculations to the final dataset from the raw data and to do the estimations.
