Description

Greetings Data Scientists and Plant Pathologists, I am excited to share with you the "Luffa Aegyptiaca(Sponge Gourd) Leaf Diseases | Verified by Plant Pathologist" dataset, a comprehensive collection gathered from the fields of Jalkuri, Narayanganj, and Khagan, Ashulia, in the Dhaka district of Bangladesh. This dataset is a valuable resource, providing an in-depth look at various diseases affecting Luffa aegyptiaca plants and is particularly suited for deep learning, machine learning, and computer vision applications in plant disease detection. The dataset is divided into two subfolders: Mosaic Virus and Insect Infestation. It contains a total of 6,166 high-resolution JPEG images, each resized to 854x480 pixels. The Mosaic Virus subfolder includes 3,661 images, capturing the viral pathology of Luffa aegyptiaca. The Insect Infestation subfolder features 2,505 images, showcasing the effects of leaf spot diseases. These images were captured using iPhone 14 Pro, Samsung Galaxy A52, and Samsung Galaxy A22, ensuring high-quality and consistent image resolution. This dataset has been verified by Abu Noman Faruq Ahmmed, a dedicated plant pathologist and professor at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It serves as an invaluable tool for researchers and developers working on advanced disease detection systems, facilitating the development of robust machine learning models and computer vision algorithms to accurately diagnose plant diseases.
