Description

Dataset generated using a Sequential Approximate Optimization algorithm implemented in an in-house program written in C++ called BIOS (Bio-inspired Optimization System). Numerical examples are described on paper "Kriging-based Optimization of Functionally Graded Structures" published on Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization journal.

Files

Steps to reproduce

For replication purposes, download the 'Inputs & Executable file' folder of the chosen problem and the file named 'fast' (.exe) at the end of the repository. Unzip them in the same directory and run BIOS (.exe). When requested, write the name of the input file (e.g. PltMoitaVibFGM) and press enter. At the end of the process, an output file is generated (.out) with the same name as the input file. The operating system (OS) used to compile the executable files was Windows x64. .fgm - Input file containing the basic information on the properties of the FGM, the homogenization techniques and effective properties method considered. .opt - Input file containing the basic information on the optimization process; .smp - Input file containing the initial sampling plan; .dat - Input file containing the necessary information for the IGA; .pos - Output file generated by FAST. *Edited in 06-05-2021: Addition of output files regarding the first numerical example (PltMoitaVib) with no mutation.
