Description
This dataset contains the following variables for Malawi; Political stability, rule of law, government effectiveness, control of corruption, voice and accountability regulatory quality, employment rate and per capita GDP growth rate. all series range from 1990 to 2021. These variables have been used in a study entitled 'Good Governance and Human Development in Malawi - A cointegration approach'.

Data on Employment in Malawi was sourced from Fred Economic data bank Data on human development in Malawi was obtained from UNDP data bank Good governance indicators were obtained from the Worldwide Governance Indicators The Composite governance Indicator (CGI) for Malawi was constructed from all the six worldwide governance indicators using the 'Principal Component Analysis'.
