Survey on perceived environmental attributes impacting walkability in Oman. Based on a adapted version of the NEWS questionnaire. Interviews administrated by Students of the German university of technology in Oman in the neighborhoods they reside (within a 500 m radius from the local community Mosque). Data was gathered door to door and after prayer times in front of Mosques. The physical characteristics of Muscat's neighborhoods are predominantly suburban. Mostly, pedestrian infrastructure isn't well established and few non-residential uses available. We used the weekly frequency of walking for transport and leisure as the dependent variable.
