MSU Poultry Piling Dataset

Description

The dataset consists of overhead images of brown hens in aviaries at Michigan State University. They are divided into positives (piling instances) and negatives (non-piling instances). They are further divided into train, val and test sets. It can be used to train an image-based piling detector. This is distinct from an image of crowded chickens that are not so tightly packed and their outlines are visible. ## Ethical Statement Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) approval, PROTO202200159, was obtained at Michigan State University for experiments. All procedures were performed in compliance with Michigan laws and institutional guidelines.
