Steps to reproduce

We do not have permission to share the China Labor-force Dynamic Survey (CLDS) and China Migrants Dynamic Survey (CMDS) data. Interested readers can apply for access to these datasets at http://css.sysu.edu.cn/ and www.ncmi.cn/phda/service.html, respectively. Once access is granted, the provided codes can be used to replicate the empirical results presented in this paper.
