On the Relationship between Latency and User Experience in Immersive Audio

Description

These data provide the result of our subjective testing of french monologue speech rendered as spatial audio with headtracking affected by latency. The test followed standard ITU-T P.800 Methods for subjective determination of transmission quality and its use cases supplement covering spatial audio testing ITU-T P Suppl. 29. The test consisted of two test phases, first where participants listened to eight audio samples with different latencies of the headtracking, followed by generic questions about the audio quality. Second test obtained eight audio samples with different head-tracking latencies, following the exact questions about how the latency affected their experience. For both phases, user had one exemplary sample with minimal latency, which they listened to once at the start of each phase. For each sample, they answered four questions; for this research processed the final question (see in the dataset).
