Description

The dynamic Mechanical Analysis (nano-DMA) test was conducted using a Hysitron TI 950 Triboindenter. The frequency-dependent nano-DMA test was conducted on Banana fibre and Pineapple fibre with a constant load of 1000 µN, superimposed with three different ramp loads 5 µN/s, 10 µN/s and 15 µN/s, by varying the frequency from 10 Hz to 250 Hz. The variation of complex modulus with frequency for the above loading conditions are presented, respectively, for banana and pineapple fibres. Similarly, the variation of damping with frequency is provided, respectively, for banana and pineapple fibres. Notable Findings: 1. It has been observed that complex modulus at three different ramp loads, 5 µN/s, 10 µN/s and 15 µN/s, is increasing corresponding to increase in frequency. 2. Damping coefficient at three different ramp loads is decreasing corresponding to increase in frequency.
