Finite Element Stress-Field Dataset for Hydrogen-Induced Structural Degradation in Type III and Type IV Composite Overwrapped Pressure Vessels
Description
This dataset contains the figures, tables, and numerical (Excel) stress-field results generated from coupled multiphysics finite element simulations of Type III (aluminum-lined) and Type IV (high-density polyethylene-lined) composite overwrapped pressure vessels (COPVs) at 70 MPa internal pressure, generated in ANSYS Workbench. It comprises: - 8 figure image files (.tif), corresponding to Figures 1-8 of the associated research article - 4 table files (.docx), corresponding to Tables 1-4 of the associated research article - 1 mesh-convergence file (.xlsx) - 40 interface/liner stress-vs-arc-length files (.xlsx; 20 per vessel type: 10 baseline "pristine" + 10 hydrogen-saturated "With H2"), extracted along the vessel meridian - 8 percentage stress-change files (.xlsx; 4 per vessel type), comparing the hydrogen-saturated state against the baseline state for the liner and the composite overwrap
