The present dataset relates to the materials engineering and characterization for methacrylated gelatin and gellan gum blending, hydrogels formation, linear porosity fabrication and mechanical and degradation assessment. Furthermore, viability and cytotoxicity evaluations were performed for cell culture purposes. Neuronal cell cultures were performed and neuron guidance characterized. PSD95 marker was assessed as a post-synaptic marker, as well as its vertical and horizontal distribution frequency were characterized.
