The data of study about the chitosan-selenium nanoparticles on depression-like behaviour induced by fluoride in mice via JAK2-STAT3 pathway

These data demonstrated that 0.5 mg/kg·bw and 1 mg/kg·bw CS-SeNPs CS-SeNPs alleviated the depression-like behavior induced by the fluoride. The current data revealed that 0.5 mg/kg·bw and 1 mg/kg·bw CS-SeNPs significantly reduced the immobility time in TST and FST at 120 d rather than 60 d. These data provide a reference for nano-selenium as an antidepressant. These data can be used to make relevant comparisons and supplements for future antidepressant mechanism researchers.

Steps to reproduce

The data were obtained as follows: Raw data 6and 7: The mouse tail suspension device is a wooden box with a hook on the top. In the experiment, the mouse’s tail of the was taped and hung on the hook head down to ensure that it would not fall off and record its total desperate immobile time within 5 min (SSC-D213, SONY). Behavioral device and Smart v3.0 tracking system (null, Panlab) were used to analyse the results. The low, medium and high motion states are set to below 30cm/s, 30-300cm/s and above 300cm/s respectively. The raw data were analysed by the GraphPad Prism 6.01 software. Raw data 8 and 9: During the experiment, the operator put the mice into a 2000 mL beaker containing warm water at 26 ℃, with a diameter of 10 cm. After ensuring that the mice would not escape, the camera system (SSC-D213, SONY) was used to record and Smart v3.0 tracking system (null, Panlab) were used to analyse the results the time of the animals’ cumulative immobile state during 5 min. The low, medium and high motion states are set to below 200cm/s, 200-400cm/s and above 400cm/s respectively. The raw data were analysed by the GraphPad Prism 6.01 software. Raw data 10 and 11: The black O-shaped maze (null, Panlab) is 50 cm above the ground, and 25 cm from the centre of the circle is composed of two open arms and two closed arms. The closed arm area is attached with a vertical wall. Each mouse was trained for 5 min one day earlier to get familiar with the EZM environment. In the experiment, mice were placed in the middle of the open arm area, with their heads facing the closed wall area, and their behavior trajectory within 5 min was filmed (SSC-D213, SONY). Smart v3.0 tracking system (null, Panlab) were used to analyse the results. The raw data were analysed by the GraphPad Prism 6.01 software. Raw data 12,13 14 and 15: The inner wall of the opening experiment box was black, and the length, width and height were 40 cm×40 cm×40 cm (null, Panlab). To ensure early adaptation, mice were placed with a behaviorist the day before the experiment. Before the experiment, the mice were placed in the corner of the experimental opening box in a dark environment. The activities of each group of mice within 5 minutes were recorded by the camera system (SSC-D213, SONY). The Smart v3.0 tracking system processing system sets the 20×20 cm area at the bottom of the test box as the centre area. The raw data were analysed by the GraphPad Prism 6.01 software.
