This dataset covers information on student assessments through standardized tests, conducted before and after the implementation of a learning recovery program. The program provided schools with a qualified tutor (recruited from the local community) to support low-achieving children in reading skills from third to sixth grades. The target students were those enrolled in rural multigrade primary schools in Peru. The main sample includes 621 children whose data has been fully anonymized. Of these, 336 received the program and 285 did not. This dataset is valuable for researchers interested in addressing children's learning gaps and studying effective strategies for learning recovery in multigrade rural settings.
