Description

SWG stands for Satellite Water Gauging and is a multi-purpose program written in Python 2.7 for extracting, processing, analysing and displaying satellite altimetry (SA) data from a number of satellites including Envisat, Jason, Saral, Cryosat and Sentinel-3. I started building SWG in 2013 while spending a year at the Legos (Laboratoire d’Étude Géophysiques et Océanographiques Spatiales) as a platform to implement and test new approaches of SA data. It was always my intention to make the SWG codes available to whom is interested but it took me a few years to have a first “user friendly” version with all the necessary utilities.
