Description of this data

We measured groups of specimens made from seven manufacturing methods using a stylus profilometer to obtain the arithmetical mean roughness (AMR) and other statistics of the surface profiles. Using the structure function method (SFM), we evaluated the fractal features of all 27 of the specimen surfaces and investigated the relationship between the fractal dimension (FD) and AMR.
