Laptop Components: Image Dataset to Classify Different Components

An AI-driven solution for efficient electronic waste management in laptops involves identifying components from various laptop models and brands to enable effective recycling through AI-powered machinery. This necessitates a valuable dataset for machine learning, which is lacking in the public domain. To address this gap, we have created the first publicly accessible dataset containing images of laptop components. This dataset includes 1656 raw images and 3780 augmented images from 8 models of the same brand, aiming to identify common components applicable across different brands. The dataset's anticipated impact lies in its potential to advance automated recycling efforts.
