Description

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) is the term used to describe a collection of recurring symptoms that start in the late luteal phase of the menstrual cycle (5-7 days prior to menstruation) and end in the follicular phase (2-4 days following menstruation) .Autogenic training is a strategy that allows one to calm their mind and body, which lowers their heart rate, slows their breathing, makes it easier for blood to circulate through their body, and boosts immune system activity . AT is a self-help technique intended to inhibit the body's stressed fight-or-flight reaction.AT promotes balance between the functions of the brain's two hemispheres, as well as the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the autonomic nervous system. AT balances the dominant and non-dominant portions of the brain .The AT relaxation technique's mechanism of action is in the relaxation response, as opposed to the stress response, which includes a complex interaction of the endocrine, immunological, neurological, and psychological systems
