Description

The sulfate reducing bacteria tends to adhere on to the surface obtains 1) super hydrophobicity; 2) macro pores whose average diameter is 1~5 times larger than the bacteria’s scale; 3) iron element. Based on these, a magnetic macroporous polymer beads were prepared and applied as biofilm support. The oleic modified Fe3O4 particles and the magnetic porous polymer were characterized by TGA, and the actual content of Fe3O4 could be calculated from file “TGA.opj”. The saturate magnetizations of the Fe3O4 particles, magnetic polymer before and after biofilm loading were characterized by VSM, and the data named "VSM.opj" The morphology of the polymer sphere was characterized by SEM, as shown in the article. The biofilm loading and the desulfurization performances of three bio-supports at the start-up stage and the long-term cultivation were evaluated, and the raw data has been listed as “starting stage.opj” and ”Fe-desulfurization rate.opj”,respectively.
