Ethics & Consent Approved by the Faculty of Arts Ethics Panel, Palacký University Olomouc (FF-B-20-02, reg. no. 02/2023). Conducted in accordance with EFPA Ethical Code (2005). Anonymous, voluntary participation; informed consent obtained. Study Design Cross-sectional online survey of adults in the Czech Republic (representative research-agency panel). Data collection period: November–December 2023. Sample Invitations were sent to 4,313 adults, from whom 1,503 respondents met the criteria of gambling experience in the last month. Inclusion: ≥ 1 gambling activity in the preceding month. gender: 876 men (58.3 %), 627 women (41.7 %). Age: M = 48.4 years (range 18–86). Education: 7.5 % primary, 41.1 % secondary (no diploma), 34.0 % secondary diploma, 17.4 % university. Gambling-Form Segmentation (past-month) Lottery-only: 864 (57.5 %). Sports betting (no casino): 319 (21.2 %). Casino-type (± other forms): 320 (21.3 %). Key Variables Collected Sociodemographics (gender, age, education, etc.). Monthly household income & gambling expenditure → % of income spent on gambling; categorised < 1 % / 1–3 % / > 3 % (risk thresholds from Currie 2006; Young 2022). Psychometric Instruments Gambling Related Cognitions Scale (GRCS) – 23 items, 7-point scale; 5 subscales (IB, IC, PC, GE, IS); Czech validation (Skopalová 2015). CFA fit on current sample: χ²(225)=1814.89, p<.001; CFI = 0.959; TLI = 0.954; RMSEA = 0.061 (90 % CI 0.058–0.063); SRMR = 0.028. Problem Gambling Severity Index – Short Form (PGSI-SF) – 3 items, 4-point scale; 12-month frame; risk bands: 0 (no problem), 1–2 (at-risk), ≥ 3 (problem gambling). NODS-CLiP – 3 yes/no items (Control, Lying, Preoccupation); single “yes” indicates lifetime problem gambling.
