Description

This data presents MATLAB scripts and data in order to reproduce the figures and videos obtained for the article "Miniaturized gas-solid fluidized beds"

Files

Steps to reproduce

This dataset provides information written in MATLAB to post-process images and to reproduce figures that are shown in the article "Miniaturized gas-solid fluidized beds" To plot the instantaneous snapshots of particle positions over time, load the images for each case and run the Prova_ondas.m file. To reproduce the figures shown in the article, run the figures.m file. To detect particles over time, run find_particles_David loading the images that are in the folder "Images_case_k" and the MATLAB functions that are in the folder "Tracking David". This will save the information of instantaneous position, brightness and size of particles in .txt files. Once the positions information is already save, run particle_tracking_David_Ouellette.m to track particles over time and then to compute some variables such as: instantaneous velocities, rms of the velocities, granular temperature, trajectories, etc. - Files Case_*.mat contain the results for particle tracking, velocities, granular temperature for each case. To generate figures of granular tempeature, load the Case_*.mat files and the run temp_granular.m file. !!
