This dataset presents raw data from a survey conducted through in-person interviews between November 2023 and January 2024, yielding 128 responses from 7 coastal locations along the Strait of Sicily. The aim of the survey was to assess confidence and awareness about the biodiversity conservation in the Strait of Sicily and the willingness to pay for habitat conservation in the SoS.

Steps to reproduce
Data were collected through a self-administered online survey in Italian hosted on Google Form. Respondents were approached through personal contacts of the researchers on the coastal communities, targeting groups that represent individuals interested in marine and coastal ecosystems in the Strait of Sicily.
