Description

Replication files for "A Swing-State Theorem, with Evidence," by Xiangjun Ma, John McLaren, and Karim Chalak. The paper uses data on US trade, tariffs, production structure, and state political outcomes to test the hypothesis that US tariffs are set in such a way as to place extra social-welfare weight on people who live in swing states. A full description is in the paper, forthcoming in the Journal of International Economics.
