Description

Stata do files and databases for the IJPE submission. No: PROECO-D-23-00384. Title: The Role of Financial Slack on the Relationship Between Demand Uncertainty and Operational Efficiency. All variables are described in the do files. Please see the notes. We thank Kumbhakar, Wang, & Horncastle (2015) for the Stata command of operational efficiency estimation.

Files

Steps to reproduce

"0 data preparation+FS UNC calculation.do" presents the code of calculating processes for financial slack and demand uncertainty indicators. "1 OE calculation.do" presents the code of the calculating process for the operational efficiency indicator. "2 Empirical study.do" presents the Stata code for the empirical tests. You can open and run the do file one by one: First, running the "0 data preparation+FS UNC calculation.do"; Then, running the "1 OE calculation.do"; Last, running the "2 Empirical study.do". Or, directly open the do file "2 Empirical study.do", and run it. All variables are described in these do files.
