Description

In this dataset a video of double-wire WAAM of Fe3Al part is presented. In this video it can be seen that the metal transfer during deposition was not the same for Fe- and Al-based wires. Fe-based metal was transferred continuously in front of the molten pool, while Al-based – presented a droplet type of transfer at the back of molten pool. WAAM was performed with use of specially designed wire feeding system; Fronius MagicWave power source was used for arc supply and torch movement was performed with the use of Yaskawa MH24 industrial robot. Special chamber was designed and built for the gas shielding during WAAM. Al-based and Fe-based wires were used with a diameter of 1.2 and 2.0 mm respectively. The video was shot using the iPhone 11 camera and a DIN 11 welding glass.
